The Double Minded Man

I have come to the realization that there is a duality to all things. That there will always be pros and cons with every decision, and every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This understanding gives me hope, when I see things that are intended for my harm and I can't directly see how it will work out for my good.  My faith is strengthened by this knowledge but even knowledge has a duality. It was knowledge of good and evil that drove man from the Garden of Eden but "My people die from a lack of knowledge". Man was tempted with knowledge from the serpent. Evidence of the first bite and its effects and affects on the human body can still be seen today. Eve was the first to receive the knowledge and then Adam. Is it not evident even now how young girls often potty train easier and young women often mature faster than young males? Not to excuse Adam for his choice, it was his to make. Only to highlight the truth in Gods Word. We sought after knowledge but found con...

Who owns your life?

I am all about owning your mistakes. I believe in taking ownership of my choices. I believe that life is a sequence of choices and a good life is based on good choices. I believe that playing the victim will only lead you to repeating the same mistakes over and over. If your failures are not your fault then that would mean that you did not fail and your way is still right, and will be repeated. Our life is a direct result of our choices, but do we own our life?  As a Christian we learn that nothing we have is from our own works, but rather a gift from God. It is God who gave us life, its is God who puts people into positions of authority, and it is God who created all things. God will harden ones heart and soften an other's. It is God who is in control, and all glory belongs to Him and Him alone. But like everything, there is a duality in the ownership of our lives. Just like Good and Evil or Left and Right there is a duality behind our life choices and Gods will for our liv...

Everyone gets in

You are going to heaven, it is settled and we can stop worrying about our salvation. We live in a cycle of seed, time, and harvest. Everyday we are sowing seeds, but our soil is toxic. The only plants growing we call weeds, like dandelions.  Dandelions are very nutritious but don't taste very well, they are bitter. Dandelions pump nutrients into the soil and aerate hard dense soil. They represent Gods grace, mana from heaven. Even while we are poisoning our harvest God is providing for us, but as we are eating our harvest of dandelions we blame God.  Salvation is by grace, mana from God, and nothing we do will change that. But if you are looking for more, a better harvest, it begins with the seeds you are sowing.  When we are focused on our own salvation our eyes are off the prize, love. We don't need to be good enough for God, we need to be good to each other. The whole of the gospel of Christ is love and equality. Never treat a rich man as more important than a...

A harvest of judgements

We are called to judge. 1 Corinthians 6:3. The issue is not judge not. The issue is to judge accordingly. We are no longer operating under a blood sacrifice form of worship. We now operate under a faith system. We call those things that are not into being by our faith. The seeds we sow become our harvest. What we say and think become what we produce. The way we treat people becomes the way we are treated. The way in which we judge others becomes the way we are judged. YHVH wrote in our hearts His law, an instinctual knowing of right and wrong. We know when we shouldn't be doing something, a guilt system that tells us we are doing wrong. Yahshua tells us that we judge based on flesh and that's why we judge incorrectly, but when he judges he judges correctly because he judges the Fathers judgement. Yahshua told us the system for judging when he said "why point out a splinter in your brothers eye while there is a board in yours?" We are called to judge, but judge accord...

Don't trip your brother

Romans 14  As usual I write these blogs and I don't know all the answers, but I know that Holy Spirit guides the ones who seek wisdom and understanding comes at a cost. I know that there is a right way and a wrong way, but I only know one way. Yahshua. Romans 14 tells us that all things are clean unless you believe it is unclean. That it is better to abstain from something even if we know its clean because to our brother it is unclean. Putting our brother before ourselves is holy, and anything that is not done in faith is sin. We are called to love the unlovely to our death, no matter who's right. We are free in Christ and in our faith we know that we can not separate ourselves from God. But what I see are people boasting in their freedom, when instead they should be boasting about the one who set them free. In our freedom if we cause a brother to stumble then we take on his sin. If everything in this world is a test and nothing in this world is unclean then what is the test...
