Our Salvation is Secured, Our Harvest is Not.
Updated October 2025
You are going to heaven. It is settled. We can stop worrying about our salvation and start living like it.We live in a cycle of seed, time, and harvest. Every day we sow seeds, but our soil is toxic. The only plants growing are what we call weeds: dandelions.
Dandelions are nutritious, but they taste bitter. They pump nutrients into the soil and aerate hard ground. They are God’s grace, manna from heaven. Even while we poison our own harvest, YHVH keeps providing. Yet we eat our dandelions and blame Him.
Salvation is by grace, manna from God. Nothing we do changes that. But if you want more than dandelions, look at the seeds you are sowing.
When we focus only on our salvation, our eyes are off the prize: love. We don’t need to be good enough for God. We need to be good to each other. The whole gospel of Christ is love and equality. Never treat a rich man as more important than a poor man. Never put your comfort over another’s need. Do all things from love for one another, for this is God’s will: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
Create a healthy environment of love. Sow good seed into the lives of others, and watch the cycle turn to abundant harvest. Worry not for yourself. All who believe are saved in Christ. Life is what you make of it.We are all born in flesh, and all flesh dies. But we are not all born in spirit. That is a choice.
When we enter heaven, there will be different levels, ranks, and positions. It is written: “The last in this world will be first in the next.” When we are low, God lifts us high. A humble heart is righteous before YHVH.
A repeated theme in my blogs is this: lay down your life and let YHVH live through you. The more we lay down our desires, our counsel, our comfort, the more God can live through us.
Do all things in love and faith, for anything not done in faith is sin.
