Eat, Drink, Be Merry

Ecc 2:24 KJV There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.  Many Christians fall victim to a false teaching that claims YHVH's favor can be earned through good works. Counter to this point is the fact that our righteousness is offensive to YHVH, compared to menstrual rags even.   On the other side of this misguided spectrum we find Christians that believe that we are free from the burden of sin, meaning that we can sin with no consequences.   I believe that the reality falls somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.   Ecclesiastes is considered one of the wisdom books. A deep study of Ecclesiastes should be standard for anyone trying to understand how to live biblically. Solomon explains how all our pursuits either good or wicked are pointless.   Ecc 7:16 KJV Be not righteous over much; neither m...

The answer is Yeshua

Its no wonder that the Christian faith is dying. Every Christian seems to have the answers to life but none of them agree on what they are. What is the name of God? Is Jesus God or the Son of God? Is the Sabbath on Saturday or Sunday or seven days after the new moon? Is the new moon of the bible the full moon of today? Can we eat pork? Is the cross on your wall a graven image? What if we disobeyed our parents, does that mean I am going to die young?  Somewhere we have lost the point of the Gospel of Yeshua, The Salvation of YHVH. What does it mean to follow Yeshua? It would seem that most Christians believe it means to act like God.  The highest capacity churches are not preaching a message of repentance. The megachurches are preaching power to get health and wealth. Some by money and some by acts. Some churches teach of "the power of prayer" and "prayer circles" to see the manifestation of desires. They call these "miracles".  Some churches teach that we...

Problems in prayer culture

Can we stop asking people to pray for us? Asking other people to pray for you implies that a. you dont trust Yeshua (Jesus) or b. you believe that you can manipulate YHVH. Prayer is either a. worship or b. intercession.   There are problems in our current prayer culture. "Christians" are trying to manipulate YHVH into doing what they want while denying a person in need a solution to their need. It begins in the church and the twisting of scripture to play on the egos of believers who seek personal power and personal gain.  My heart is grieved every time I see someone ask for prayers. I understand that we are taught about the power of prayer and there is truth to that but prayer is not able to manipulate YHVH.   Yeshua is interceding on our behalf, what more can we do than that which Yeshua is already doing? How is this concept not understood by "Christians"? We are called to pray for others out of Love, we intercede for others because of Christ within us. ...

It's not your power

Why do so many churches teach that God gives you power? They teach that we can heal others, command demons, and establish wealth. It's time we address these false teachings for one reason, it's not your power.  What I see the most is pastors or preachers attempting to use the scriptures as a grimoire, a spell book of sorts. They will tell you things like walk around your car seven times and on the seventh pass shout out and like the walls of Jericho all obstacles in your way will fall, or if you trust God with a seed donation of $1000.00 you will receive a blessing from the Lord... These are examples of witchcraft.  A spell or an incantation is always the same, if you do this or say that then this will happen. When a church tells you that doing this or saying that will result in a blessing they are teaching witchcraft. The Bible did not originate with chapter and verse. These numbered sections of the Bible are a result of occultism often referred to as kabbalah.  ...

The Spirit of Love

My last post I revealed how emotions are spirits and how there are different types of spirits. There is a spirit of a man (i.e. his motives or his driving force), there is a spirit like a wind or a breathe (like an invisible force), and there is a spirit like an emotion (a feeling). My argument is that Love is a spirit but not an emotional spirit but rather a driving force. If the Holy Spirit of YHVH is Love then it would do us well to understand what Love is.  We always hear about the different types of love in the Greek. We will talk about these types of "love" but we will need to go beyond the Greek and into the Hebrew to see the Love that is YHVH. Definitions sighted from https://www.google.com/amp/s/greekcitytimes.com/2020/02/14/the-8-ancient-greek-words-for-love/ Eros (romantic, passionate love, lust) Philia (affectionate love, friendship) Agape (selfless, universal love) Storge (familiar love) Mania (obsessive love) Ludus (playful love) Pragma (enduring love) P...

Spirits

Spirits Updated October 2025 John 4:24 KJV God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Let me ask a question that may feel uncomfortable at first. If God is a Spirit, why do we try and create a second spirit? Scripture says YHVH is Spirit, yet we often speak of “the Spirit of God” as if it were separate. In my opinion it isn’t. There is one Spirit, and that Spirit is Love. Scripture names many spirits: spirit of jealousy, spirit of fear, a broken spirit, a contrite spirit, even evil spirits. But the spirit of a man is his core motive, his driving force, not an emotion. In the Book of Enoch (not canon, but helpful here), the Nephilim are punished and their spirits bound to the earth. Those restless spirits are what we call demons, I wonder what there motives could be. Spirits and emotions are deeply linked. Anger, fear, envy, lust, these are not mere feelings; they are spirits. So when every motive is ruled by raw emotion, a man becomes demonic. T...

Elohim

Elohim Updated October 2025 Understanding Christ has been one of the greatest challenges of my Christian life. How do you follow someone you don’t fully grasp? The church often contradicts Scripture on who Yeshua truly is. Yeshua is the Son of YHVH. He is not the Father, yet He is the perfect expression of the Father, the eternal Word through whom the Father created and sustains all things. Hebrews 1:3-4 KJV Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. John 14:10-11 KJV Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or els...
