Comfort is cancer to the spirit. It is when we find ourselves uncomfortable that we are motivated to change. The complacency of comfort leads to spiritual atrophy. When you are not using your faith it becomes weakened, or worse, forgotten. Our modern world tells us that comfort in this life equals success, the problem is that we are not living for this life as a Christian. More accurately the problem is that Christian's have forgotten their purpose, why we have hope, and what we are looking forward to. Rom 8:36 KJV As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. There is comfort for the believer, it comes from YHVH! We are called to take up our cross, self death, and follow Yeshua. We share in His suffering, doing what is right no matter what it cost us.
