Repentance

We are sinners from the moment we are born. Our first instinct is to our selves. It is this ego, this desire for our own that creates the sinner. Mercy was present before Christ, grace was the reason YHVH gave His Son. We give the glory of salvation to the lamb but the lamb gave the glory to the Father. Its only with God that we can do all things. Repentance is to think anew, to turn from what you are doing wrong and renew your thoughts. If we continue doing the things that hurt us did we really repent? I would say not. God doesn't want us flawless, He wants to be our salvation. He doesn't want us to cover ourselves in grace and continue in error, He wants us to grow. It is when we cry out to Him, confess our sins and rely on only Him that He can move in our lives. Not money, not a job, not another man can save you from death. What I see are people that are afraid to die, they are scared of the judgment because they know they have done wrong. Fear of death leads to ego. God wants you to die! Not your body but your life, your free will must be subjected to Gods will. It is only when you give up your life, and allow your self to die, that God can live through you. We are his body, we have been bought at a price! Yah$hua! Yes we sin, but we don't practice sin. We practice righteousness. When we do sin we confess to the Father in heaven, "Father forgive me for I am unworthy, I have sinned. Please have mercy on my soul Father for Your reputation, I will boast in You and Your righteousness for who is more blessed than the unworthy sinner You have forgiven? I rely on You Father and You alone. You are my refuge. Teach me Your ways Father, for You are fair and just in all Your ways." Wash your mind daily with His Word, because that's how often you will become dirty... Daily. Its not about being a sinner. Its about doing the right thing even if you don't have to. Its a test. All things are lawful but not all things profit a man. Will you revive a reward or experience a loss? What we do matters, not in our salvation, in our situation. To repent is to turn to YHVH and away from yourself. I shall decrease so He can increase. I will not hide my sin from Father for then He can do nothing about it. I will praise Him for his mercy and honor Him for His integrity. He died so I can live, now I die so He can live.

The Spirit of Love

My last post I revealed how emotions are spirits and how there are different types of spirits. There is a spirit of a man (i.e. his motives or his driving force), there is a spirit like a wind or a breathe (like an invisible force), and there is a spirit like an emotion (a feeling). My argument is that Love is a spirit but not an emotional spirit but rather a driving force. If the Holy Spirit of YHVH is Love then it would do us well to understand what Love is.  We always hear about the different types of love in the Greek. We will talk about these types of "love" but we will need to go beyond the Greek and into the Hebrew to see the Love that is YHVH. Definitions sighted from https://www.google.com/amp/s/greekcitytimes.com/2020/02/14/the-8-ancient-greek-words-for-love/ Eros (romantic, passionate love, lust) Philia (affectionate love, friendship) Agape (selfless, universal love) Storge (familiar love) Mania (obsessive love) Ludus (playful love) Pragma (enduring love) P...

Elohim

Understanding Christ has been one of the greatest problems for my Christian life. How can you follow someone you dont know or understand. It is incredibly hard to reconcile Yeshua when the church world contradicts what the scriptures tell us. Yeshua is the Son of YHVH, and no matter what Bible scholars claim He is not God.  There are a few verses that teach us a theology of the God head, Father-Son-Spirit. Some want to believe that YHVH is all three at the same time while others believe that YHVH changes modes into each one when needed, but do these ideas actually hold water?    Heb 1:3-4 KJV 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  We will need to explore many verses ...

Eat, Drink, Be Merry

Ecc 2:24 KJV There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.  Many Christians fall victim to a false teaching that claims YHVH's favor can be earned through good works. Counter to this point is the fact that our righteousness is offensive to YHVH, compared to menstrual rags even.   On the other side of this misguided spectrum we find Christians that believe that we are free from the burden of sin, meaning that we can sin with no consequences.   I believe that the reality falls somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.   Ecclesiastes is considered one of the wisdom books. A deep study of Ecclesiastes should be standard for anyone trying to understand how to live biblically. Solomon explains how all our pursuits either good or wicked are pointless.   Ecc 7:16 KJV Be not righteous over much; neither m...
