We are flawed

I dont like the phrase "I am only human", it says that we are victims and that our problems are not our problems but rather a problem with our design. I choose to take responsibility for my actions and I accept the punishment I deserve for my sin, a responsible Christian. While it is true that overcoming sin is difficult, and frankly impossible to do on our own, it is possible to overcome. When we say that we are "only human" we are not just acknowledging the fact that we are flawed we are accepting our flaws as part of our design.

We are in a fallen state, surrounded by sin and born with a sin nature, but this state of being is not our created state. There was a time when we hid our shame from the world, and rightfully so, but now we boast in our sin. I hear people say "I was born this way" as a way to justify their wickedness, as if they came from the womb in their created state. It is quickly forgotten that we are called to be born again, to find our identity in Christ.

We are called to deny our flesh and hold captive every thought, we are spiritual beings born in fleshly bodies and must be born again in the Spirit. The world has taken hold of the minds of Christians and Christians are becoming as the world. Hate, anger, lust, greed, and unforgivness have filled the hearts of church goers and the church remains silent about sin.

Under the banner of "love" we are told to accept people for whom they are and to cherish their identity as God given, when the truth is that these people don't even know who they are. We are to be joined in Yeshua as one body, our identity is Christ! We are the bride and must submit ourselves to YHVH's Word, we are to deny ourselves and afflict our flesh. This means that we dont do the things we want but rather we do the will of the Father, His will not my will. We are to hate sin, even our own, and separate ourselves from evil. We are flawed, no doubt about that, but Christ makes us whole.

Do you love YHVH with all your heart, soul and mind? Are you loving others as you love yourself? I fear that most people only love themselves, I also fear that most people dont even know what love is. Love is a choice and not a feeling. To love something is to die for it, love esteems others as more worthy, love is YHVH. As a Christian we are called to forgive, not accept. We are called to demonstrate the righteousness of the Lord, not to demonstrate wickedness of man. Speak openly about YHVH and Yeshua, about salvation by faith. We are called to separate from evil, to rightly divide good from evil and right from wrong. While we are flawed Yeshua is not, we can not overcome our sin but Yeshua can. We may struggle against our flesh till the day our bodies die but we shall not boast in evil! We are not "only human", we are spirit. I am that I am...

The Spirit of Love

My last post I revealed how emotions are spirits and how there are different types of spirits. There is a spirit of a man (i.e. his motives or his driving force), there is a spirit like a wind or a breathe (like an invisible force), and there is a spirit like an emotion (a feeling). My argument is that Love is a spirit but not an emotional spirit but rather a driving force. If the Holy Spirit of YHVH is Love then it would do us well to understand what Love is.  We always hear about the different types of love in the Greek. We will talk about these types of "love" but we will need to go beyond the Greek and into the Hebrew to see the Love that is YHVH. Definitions sighted from https://www.google.com/amp/s/greekcitytimes.com/2020/02/14/the-8-ancient-greek-words-for-love/ Eros (romantic, passionate love, lust) Philia (affectionate love, friendship) Agape (selfless, universal love) Storge (familiar love) Mania (obsessive love) Ludus (playful love) Pragma (enduring love) P...

Elohim

Understanding Christ has been one of the greatest problems for my Christian life. How can you follow someone you dont know or understand. It is incredibly hard to reconcile Yeshua when the church world contradicts what the scriptures tell us. Yeshua is the Son of YHVH, and no matter what Bible scholars claim He is not God.  There are a few verses that teach us a theology of the God head, Father-Son-Spirit. Some want to believe that YHVH is all three at the same time while others believe that YHVH changes modes into each one when needed, but do these ideas actually hold water?    Heb 1:3-4 KJV 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  We will need to explore many verses ...

Eat, Drink, Be Merry

Ecc 2:24 KJV There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.  Many Christians fall victim to a false teaching that claims YHVH's favor can be earned through good works. Counter to this point is the fact that our righteousness is offensive to YHVH, compared to menstrual rags even.   On the other side of this misguided spectrum we find Christians that believe that we are free from the burden of sin, meaning that we can sin with no consequences.   I believe that the reality falls somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.   Ecclesiastes is considered one of the wisdom books. A deep study of Ecclesiastes should be standard for anyone trying to understand how to live biblically. Solomon explains how all our pursuits either good or wicked are pointless.   Ecc 7:16 KJV Be not righteous over much; neither m...
